BenQ's 10 best monitors

The Taiwan island is a real storehouse of manufacturers of all kinds of computer equipment, and BenQ, whose products we will consider in this article, are just from there. The company produces a fairly large list of PC peripherals, but there is a noticeable emphasis on the development and production of all kinds of screens: information and interactive panels, projectors and, of course, monitors, which will be discussed below.

It is difficult to call BenQ a leader in the field of PC screens - in terms of image quality and the speed of implementation of innovative technologies, the Taiwanese are noticeably inferior, for example, to competitors from the Korean Peninsula. But among Russian buyers, the brand is popular due to its excellent price-quality ratio, large selection, good image quality and well-thought-out ergonomics.

TOP 10 Best BenQ Monitors

10 BenQ BL702A

Let's start with one of the most atypical monitors for 2019. The BL702A immediately catches the eye with its somewhat outdated 5: 4 aspect ratio. It is believed that such squares are better suited for office work with text. This is confirmed by users in reviews who also praise the monitor for its low eye strain - you can use it quite comfortably for 5-6 hours, thanks to the FlickerFree backlight (no flicker), a mode for reducing the intensity of blue color and a matte display coating.

Little outstanding in terms of characteristics. Before us is a high-quality TN-matrix with a resolution of 1280x1024 pixels and viewing angles of the order of 160-170 degrees. Response speed, contrast and brightness are average, sufficient for the undemanding user. There are only complaints about image sharpness - it is too low. You can also find fault with the presence of only one video input - VGA - but, given the class of the device, minus the strained one.

9 BenQ GL2250

From the square, let's move on to a more familiar monitor with an aspect ratio of 16: 9. The GL2250 model is distinguished by its low cost - only 6 thousand rubles - and therefore does not claim the laurels of a progressive device. The design is simple, the frames are thick, physical keys are used to customize the screen, the captions to which are not aesthetically pleasing on the front panel. The stand is adjustable only for the angle of inclination. There are two input ports: DVI-D and VGA.

The image quality can be described by the word “good”. Before us is a 21.5-inch TN matrix with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. The pixel density is excellent for this price point. The fonts look fluid and the videos are enjoyable to watch. But all this is provided that you are directly in front of the screen - when deflected, despite the declared large viewing angles, the image is somewhat distorted in colors. Of the interesting, it is also worth noting the refresh rate of 76 Hz - slightly higher than usual. Otherwise, average rates.

8 BenQ EL2870U

How much do you think a 4K monitor can cost? According to BenQ, only about 20 thousand rubles. Cheapness has left a certain mark. So, the design is simple, with large frames. The stand only allows you to adjust the tilt, there are no clamps for wires. You can connect a monitor via HDMI 2.0 (2 connectors) or DisplayPort 1.4. It is worth noting the presence of stereo speakers with a total power of 4 W - it will do just fine to replace the simple "tweeters".

The impressions from the screen itself are contradictory. 27.9-inch diagonal, UltraHD resolution. Brightness range from 27 to 303 cd / m2. The response speed is only 1ms. All indicators are pleasing, with the exception of one very important - TN + film matrix is used. It offers good image quality, but with the inherent TN features: at the corners the image loses in contrast, colors are slightly distorted. You can also find fault with a slightly lower than stated contrast ratio - about 800: 1. Of the pleasant features, we note the presence of a light sensor, which automatically adjusts the brightness and gamma of the display depending on the type of image and environmental conditions.

7 BenQ ZOWIE XL2430

The ZOWIE sub-brand includes many peripherals for gamers. Not without a monitor. Before us is one of the most affordable models - XL2430. The design is relatively understated, with only a couple of red elements. The functionality is beyond praise. The stand allows you to adjust the height, tilt and swivel, as well as transfer the display to portrait mode. There is a window for cable management and even a handle for easy portability. We also found a place for a USB hub for 3 USB 3.0 connectors (two of which are on the left in easy access), an audio output and even a retractable headphone hook! We also note the remote control, with which you can conveniently and quickly change the settings for a specific game.

The resolution of the 24-inch TN-matrix is 1920 × 1080 pixels. The refresh rate is 144 Hz, the response of GTG is 1ms - you can safely go to e-sports disciplines. The brightness is also pleasing - almost 350 cd / m2. Also worth mentioning is the Black eQualizer feature, which highlights dark areas, making it easier to play some maps in games like CS: GO. In the reviews, users only complain about the terrible factory calibration - you will have to adjust the display to your taste yourself.

6 BenQ SW320

SW320 is the largest model with a classic aspect ratio in our TOP-10. Display diagonal 31.5 inches. Visually, the monitor seems even larger due to the wide bezels. The stand deserves praise - it provides adjustment on all axes, transfer to portrait mode, has a window for wires and a carrying handle. Note the high-quality sun visor that can be used both horizontally and vertically. Also included is a remote control for easy image adjustment.

Resolution IPS-matrix 3840x2160 pixels (UltraHD). The maximum brightness is 350 cd / m2, but in the HDR mode, which is fully supported in the SW320, the figure increases noticeably. Color quality is excellent, but self-calibration may be required if the user is very demanding. From the factory, the monitor fully covers sRGB, and 99% AdobeRGB space. All in all, a great option for photographers, video editors and graphic designers.

5 BenQ PD2700Q

Another model, which is perfect for working with graphics, drawings, photos and videos, is much cheaper than the SW320 discussed above. The 27-inch display of the model is surrounded by thick frames. One more drawback can be drawn from the reviews: hidden from view, tight control buttons. Otherwise, there are no complaints about ergonomics. The stand with an interesting texture allows you to adjust the tilt, swivel and height, there is a portrait mode. There is a headphone hook on the back of it. A strange decision, given the inconvenient location and clearly not the gaming focus of the monitor.

Resolution IPS-matrix WQHD (2560 × 1440 pixels). Brightness 350 cd / m2. The refresh rate reaches 76 Hz. A serious drawback can be called the response speed of GtG - 12 ms - but this does not cause inconvenience with non-gaming use. The PD2700Q covers 98.9% of the sRGB color space. Considering the cost of 23 thousand rubles, the model can be safely recommended not only to designers, but also to ordinary users for whom image quality is important.

4 BenQ BL2581T

Let's give the fourth place in the TOP to one of the most balanced monitors of the company. The BL2581T model is sold at a price of about 15.5 thousand rubles - a cost that is available to a large number of buyers. At the same time, the design, ergonomics and characteristics will not cause any complaints. The side and top frames are very thin, the stand is thought out - in large ranges, the tilt angle, rotation, height are adjusted, it is possible to switch the screen to portrait mode, and pass the wires through a special window. Note the presence of a USB hub for four USB 3.0 Type-A and one Type-B. There are a lot of video inputs: DVI-D, HDMI 1.4, DisplayPort 1.2 and VGA.

The display, made with IPS technology, has a diagonal of 25 inches. The resolution is not quite typical - 1920x1200 pixels (aspect ratio 16:10) - which allows you to fit a little more information vertically on the screen. Brightness 300 cd / m2. The rest of the indicators barely stand out against the background of competitors.Among the interesting features, we note the presence of a light sensor, flicker-free backlighting, a function of reducing blue and even filters that help people with color perception impairments.

3 BenQ ZOWIE XL2740

We will open the top three leaders with one of the top gaming monitors on the market. The design is already familiar to you from the ZOWIE XL2430 discussed above. The only differences are the slightly larger dimensions and the sun blinds on the sides. The latter play the same role as in professional design models - they protect the screen from glare. Also, the curtains will come in handy at various tournaments, because it will be more difficult for opponents to see what is happening on your display.

There is no reason to hope for excellent picture quality. Despite the high cost, about 38 thousand rubles, the color quality and viewing angles leave much to be desired. You can also find fault with the pixel density: at 27 inches, the resolution is only 1920 x 1080 pixels. But the speed, which is more important in games, is amazing - the response speed is 1 ms, and the maximum refresh rate can reach 240 Hz. With such a monitor and suitable hardware, you can compete in eSports disciplines at a professional level.

2 BenQ EX3501R

Gradually, online cinemas are increasingly penetrating our lives. If so, it is not necessary to have a TV - a monitor like the EX3501R is enough. The design is noticeably different from other BenQ models. It is more refined, airy. The place of the massive stand was taken by a thin V-shaped one. But there are also disadvantages: only the tilt angle and height are regulated in a small range. There are a lot of video inputs: 2x HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4 and even the rare USB Type-C 3.1, through which you can not only transfer image and sound, but also recharge a compatible laptop.

Diagonal VA-matrix 35 inches, resolution 3440x1440 pixels. The screen is, of course, curved for greater convenience and immersion. The brightness indicators are slightly higher than the declared ones - 375 cd / m2. But the contrast is actually less - about 1900: 1, which can also be considered an excellent result. Refresh rates up to 100Hz, supported by AMD FreeSync. Of the chips is the already familiar BenQ light sensor and the Eye Care system. In reviews, users praise the model for its excellent factory color calibration.

1 BenQ SW271

We give the leading position to the monitor with the best image quality. The SW271 uses a 27-inch, 4K UltraHD, 10-bit IPS panel. The pixel density is very high, and graininess can only be seen from the closest distance. Brightness 350 cd / m2, contrast ratio 1000: 1, response speed 5 ms. The indicators are not record-breaking, but it is difficult to find fault either. But the color reproduction is excellent: 100% sRGB coverage and 99% Adobe RGB. In addition, the package includes a calibrator and calibration software, which allows you to tailor the image to your taste.

The design is already familiar: all frames, except for the bottom, are minimal; control buttons are located in front (there is also a remote control), and a fairly massive stand allows you to adjust the position of the monitor along all axes. Video inputs abound: a pair of HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4 and USB Type-C. On the left side there is a pair of USB 3.1 ports and an SD card reader, which is very useful for photographers.
